Rust In Giants Free Map

Hi All,
Finally releasing my map after 4 months in the making for anyone to use, improve, pull apart or do whatever you want to it.
I don't mind if you make it better and charge as a paid map, just don't rip direct prefabs out and claim them as your own.

If you do use anything here on a free or paid map, I'd appreciate credit for the work I did.
I hope someone can either do better or be inspired to do something else with the idea..

It is a map where everything is on a very large scale.
Looks amazing, heaps of cool things to see.
The Cargo ship does laps of the pool, there are a lot of hidden areas to discover.
I tried to give it as much chance to suit vanilla game play as I could, but I am sure there is room for improvement.
I ran it on my battlefield server for a week and players loved the visual elements, loved the exploration, but didn't enjoy the PVP aspect because this is a large map with many open areas.

I think it has potential, but might need someone with a fresh perspective to improve it.

Credit goes to a few people especially.
- Facepunch for creating and still updating/maintaining Rust for us after all these years.
- K1lly0u for this awesome Editor and the tireless hours he puts in for us all.
- Yetzt for his alphabet which has been used in this map. Also got me thinking how I could make walls for the house.
- Yetzt for a the plugin included here that stops the Cargo ship exiting the map whilst in the pool area. (Just add CargoEgressFix.cs to your Oxide Plugin directory)
- WheatleyMF for his completed Cargo ship prefab and the idea of using the BLD Frame for windows with invisible colliders (Opened my mind to so many more things I could do)
- Lone for all his help as I was building this map and helping with getting the Elevator to work. 8)
- All the other map makers and helpers out there, most have influenced my map is some way or another.

I have tried to ensure all prefabs are broken so you can open it in the editor to make changes, copy prefabs, etc.
There is an APC path in the kitchen and the Cargo ship path around the map and laps of the pool. Add the RustEdit.dll for the paths to work.
All pipes connect to sewers, toilet, bath, and sinks.
The fence has regular holes to get in and out from ocean to the yard.
There are many sneaky ways to get up on most things.
The pool has a phenomenon called Rusmuda Pentagon, any minicopter that enters the area between the signs will sink straight to the bottom of the pool.
If you want to ensure Minicopters and Balloons can't go over the fence and on the main roof, set this in your server: hotairballoon.serviceceiling 200

Size is 4k
Total Prefabs is under 8,000 and runs very smooth.

You have a good idea as well as your work.

A month ago, I saw this topic of yours and began to make a similar one. It took me about a month. I did it alone as usual. Soon I will make a post and show you my creation.

When the cargo ship completes and tries to leave. The plugin stops it ramming through the fence.
It then waits until it leaves the pool before it runs away. 😁
