The Basin [WIP]

Just finished up a first pass on a volcanic basin-like map. It's a large lake with several islands surrounded by a ring of mountains. The mountains are meant to be the boundary of the map. You can probably get past them if you really try, but there's nothing past them but weird map corners and open ocean.

This map is meant to be a boat/diving focused map, so while Launchsite and several other points of interest are above water - Powerplant, Trainyard, and Airfield are below it, and require diving equipment to loot.

The spawnzone is a small swamp+forest on the edge of the mountain ring and includes bandit town so players can do some earlygame trading.

The center of the map has a harbor and lighthouse, as well as a warehouse and a couple of gas stations.

Along the map's opposite edge from spawn there is military tunnels and a partially sunken sphere tank.

Not far off of the military tunnels' shore is an underwater powerplant.

Basically, a whole lot of the map is underwater. There's a low amount of buildable area so I'd recommend this map for very low pop servers who want to do a lot of cool diving shit. This map is perfectly playable right now, but is still a work in progress so I'd appreciate any feedback.

Also it gets fuck-off dark underwater at night. Pretty dang spooky.

Patched to version 0.1.2. This version uses the new ability to add individual radtown pieces and has some custom made ruins both above and below water. I also fixed several issues with alpha and texture placements, as well as a couple areas of bad clipping where monuments met the terrain.
