The City (Map-In-Progress)

Working on a new map I'm calling The City

It's a 3.5k map with a large tundra area (no snow zone) and features a ruined city in the desert area that connect to four monuments - Trainyard, Power Plant, Airfield, and Harbor. Launch Site & Military Tunnels are nearby but separated.

The abandoned city area will be buildable and will have some roadside loot spawning in it as well as some hidden crates & whatnot.

This map won't have any prefab caves but there will be a sewer network running under the map that links up to typical cave building prefab areas.

For the May Wipe I plan to have this map used on my server "Somewhere Awful" (see here). Will post updates as I progress on it.

Looks good! They really need to add the undestroyed building variants to the sdk...

Eventually I'll be going through and "set dressing" with steel beams, debris, wooden boards/whatnot

What are those red things between prefab connection ? Is it to snap it easily ?

Some more work, viewing the tunnel work ingame. Placing those darned tunnel entrances and having the terrain place nice with them is a chore. Have some fixin' to do, but the pieces snap together nicely.

Ultimately the goal is get those "bare" ruined buildings to this point of decorated

Tunnel work - large military style tunnels running under the city and connecting to two of the quarries. There'll be a sewer tunnel network that will link to WTP & Sewer Branch. In both tunnels (sewer & military) there will be some bunker rooms with loot in them.

Some more WIP progress photos. Map will be playable this month on my server 'Somewhere Awful' and I expect to release it mid-month in May after doing some tweaks seeing it play out on Live.

In two of the photos you'll see twig structures - just testing that players can build in between buildings *and* inside the building ruins.
